Poetics of Relation, 2016

Poetics of Relation was an exhibition that investigated notions and modalities of interdisciplinarity in artistic expressions. Éduard Glissant's same-titled book 'Poetics of Relation' was used as an inspiration and as a theoretical framework for this exploration. The project suggested interdisciplinarity as a hopeful and performative force that can invent a new language and a new way of knowledge production toward more understanding among different cultures.

The exhibition was on view at the DAC Gallery in Los Angeles and featured works by Matthew Grant Anson, Kiyomi Fukui, Cheryl Humphreys, Olga Lah, Elena Manferdini, Mike Mcmullen, Michael Nannery and Miggie Wong. The art catalog was designed by Arms Studio.
