The Invisible Archive, 2017- ongoing
Performance art research, text performance
Los Angeles, Berlin
The Invisible Archive was born from the urgency to create an artist-led discourse around the phenomenology of performance art within a dialogue- and research-driven format. The Invisible Archive is a journal and an archive/research project that examines how artistic strategies of embodiment and performativity complicate the current conditions of making and living. Each issue uses the in-depth interview as a starting point and method to critically reflect on the practice and life of one artist. The first volume archives performance artists in Los Angeles. The journal is collaboratively edited with Virginia Arce. The print journal is published by Goodbye Books and designed by Micaela Terk. The journal website is www.invisiblearchive.com.
